  1. Set up a baseline

A baselines acts as a reference to start comparison with historical performance and other ships in the fleet. This basic tip acts as a major motivation for development of complex systems to generate most ideal comparisons. KPI (Key Performance Indicator) should be acceptable to everyone, interpretable to even those who are foreign to the industry, and cater to different scenarios or types of asset to be managed.
